An academic evaluation of a student's record will  be completed at the time of application.  All requirements remaining to be completed for a degree will be indicated and monitored for completion prior to graduation.

Graduation Information

Information about graduation is sent to all students who have applied for graduation during the indicated graduation term. All information is sent to your mailing address listed on the university's data system. It is important to keep the information current and to contact the Graduation Office in order to ensure your graduation goes according to plan.

A graduation application can be submitted at any time after the completion of 90 hours but no later than two weeks into the term of graduation. An academic evaluation of your record will  be completed at the time of application. A one-time, non-refundable graduation fee will be added to your account the semester you apply for graduation.

Minimum Residence

You must earn a minimum of 30 semester credit hours in UNC courses. In addition, 20 of the last 30 semester credit hours of a degree program must be earned in UNC courses.

Previous Credit Earned

Any college work earned more than 15 years before the time a baccalaureate degree is granted at UNC may be applicable toward a degree at the discretion of the Registrar and the major and minor departments.

Correspondence Credit

A maximum of 30 semester hours of credit in correspondence and/or continuing education courses from UNC and/or any other institution will be accepted toward graduation. Correspondence credit will not be counted toward the 30 semester credit hour residency requirement. All correspondence courses and/or transfer work must be completed, received, graded and recorded before the semester of graduation.
