Adding Courses

For all courses, including short courses and workshops, The add/drop deadline is 15% of the class time. For instructions on Add/Drop procedures, please refer to the Ursa registration instructions. You may add individual classes during the Add period without charge within 9-16 credit hours, over 16 credits will increase tuition. See "Tuition and Fees " for more information. Faculty Drop

An instructor has the option of dropping a student who does not attend the first two clock-hours of a class. Non-attendance will not automatically drop you from a class. If you cannot attend the first two hours of any class, it is advisable to contact the faculty member prior to the class.

Course Pre-requisites

Prerequisites will be checked at the time of registration. Students not meeting the prerequisites of the course they are attempting to enter will not be able to register on Ursa. Please check the current catalog for prerequisite information or contact the departments.

Faculty Override

Instructors can give permission for students to enter a closed or restricted course by releasing the student on Ursa. They will need the student’s Bear number, and the registration number of the course. After the faculty release is processed the student will have to complete the registration process.
